DHC is on the pricey side charging $200 an hour for two people. I doubt each employee was even getting half that plus $75 for a service plus $200 for materials. Twice they left for supplies taking an hour total and I was of course charged for this trip. When I booked I was told they would come ready to repair. Besides the pricing the employees were professional and courteous. They let me know what the issue was and where the leak was coming from which was a tear between the room and chimmeney. In the end, the work seemed of high caliber and everything was found fixed from the year, to the moldy wood, to the leak stain on the ceiling, and they cleaned up very well. We’ll see how well there work is when the next storm hits.
I’ve been using this company since 2002. I wouldn’t use anyone else. Prices are fair, quality of workmanship is very good. The people are polite and clean up before they leave.
I needed to have part of my siding and gutter repaired. I started to think that no one was going to take on this project as it is frigid outside and the total amount of the repairs did not meet the cost minimum of larger companies. I can't tell you how lucky and happy I am to have reached out to DHC for this exterior project. DHC Repairs was extremely responsive - I contacted them on a Monday and repairs were complete by Thursday, which was the first dry day in the forecast. I had an estimate the day of my request because they came out to take a look the day of my request. Here are some real positives to working with DHC Repairs: o Service Quality: when they were done with the repairs, they asked me to step out and take a look. I was breathless. They matched the colors of the existing siding + gutter perfectly and the quality of the craftmanship was outstanding. My house not only looks new, but I can now sleep without worrying "When is water going to start leaking into the wall?" o Year-round Service: at first I thought I would have to wait until Spring to get my repairs done. DHC Repairs works all year round. I asked several times if the repair men would be OK with the cold temperature and they pressed on. It was 30deg F when they started working. o Transparent Pricing: DHC sent me my estimate by email the day I placed my request. This work authorization document contained everything I needed to know about the process and the warranty, which for this project was 1 year (wow). When the work was complete, I paid the estimated amount. No surprises. I must be dreaming. o Stress-free Customer Service: the person who took my request on the phone knew a lot about the type of work needed and he/she allowed me to send photos to expedite the process and facilitate a real discussion about the nature of the repairs. This is in contrast to the usual situation where you call a large company to have repairs done and days go by because the customer service rep has to coordinate a time/day just to have a conversation with the repair men. Not only that, but they didn't make it seem like my repairs were a big deal. I was dealing with professionals which is an absolute relief to say the least. o Clean Work: DHC picked up after their work. I found no debris on my property at all. It's as if they weren't here at all. I can tell you from personal experience that this is a rare event. No nails lying around. No screws, no splattered paint, and no pieces of siding could be found. No damage. I know I sound like a commercial, but I wanted to pass my thoughts along so you don't start hitting the panic button like I did. THANK YOU DHC Repairs. You get an A++++.
